MOVUS

Frequently asked questions

What is Movus?

Movus is a collection of fitness games for iPhone that you control with your body. The front camera reads your movement, so you play by running, jumping, squatting, punching and swimming — no buttons and nothing to wear.

What do I need to play?

An iPhone running iOS 17 or later, somewhere to stand it at about waist height, and two to three metres of clear space.

Does Movus record video of me?

No. Every camera frame is processed on the phone and discarded. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded.

Do I need an account?

No. Movus never asks for a name, an email or a sign-in.

Which games are included?

Six: Move Rush, Penalty Hero, Swim, Slash, Squat Rush and Boxing.

Can children play?

Yes. The games use natural movements, and there is no account or chat. Clear the space and supervise younger children.

Can I play sitting down?

Slash reads only your hands, so it works seated. The other games need you standing.

How are calories calculated?

From each game's intensity (a MET value) and your resting metabolism from the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, counting only active energy — the same measure Apple Health uses.

Does it work with Apple Health?

Yes, if you turn it on in Settings: each game is saved as a workout with its active energy.

Why isn't the game reading my moves?

Usually the phone is too low, you are too close, or the room is too dark. See the setup guide or the support page.

Is there a multiplayer mode?

Not yet. Two-player modes are being tested and will come in a later version.

When is Movus available?

Movus is coming to the App Store for iPhone.
